Theater Program - Eugene Performing Arts Centre

Theater Program

What Makes Us Different?

When it comes to Children’s theater in Eugene we know there are many options but we wanted to build a theater that would prepare students for real world opportunities. We believe students should work hard and earn each role. That is why you are paying for acting and musical theater classes and not to be in the production. This also gives students the opportunity to explore all aspects of the theater including costumes, props, set design and lighting.

Acting & Musical Theater students will have the opportunity to perform in our Winter show, Spring All Studio production and our Student Works showcase featuring works written by our student playwrites.

All students will have the opportunity to audition for each show but it is not required. They may also work backstage or supporting technical theater aspects. Current students will have first opportunity to audition for shows before we open auditions up to the community.

Lanny Mitchell

Theater Director

Lanny has trained with Bob Fosse, Joe Tremaine, Michael Bennett, and more. He has been on and off Broadway as a performer and most importantly, has worked in the business. Lanny is a teacher, director and choreographer who will prepare your children to nail auditions, be admitted into a college program or just learn life lessons.
